Default Nea 102

Anyone see this new gun?

Based on the AR10, non restricted status and comes in .308 Winchester for now. Plans for a 6.5 Creedmore and a 260 Rem are coming.

$1700, so much cheaper than an XCR.

Good lord I want one.
Planned to get one when they first started teasing it at the start of the year.
My tax bill made it just a dream.
I'm sure the gov will spend my nea 102 money wisely.

I'm going to wait for accuracy and reliability reports. Might buy one in 6.5 creedmore as a deer gun.

Have to wait until they make it part of their IOP program. Will be a fun rifle to bring hunting.

If this gun can hold 1" groups with quality ammo or handloads I would be interested.

Haven't they been building it for years? Available in New Zealand for example....

It's a nice looking piece of kit... Hard to distinguish from an AR with a quick glance.

I'm in for the 2nd batch with Ambi controls, and hopefully a different caliber (.260rem).

Just over 7 lbs empty. I'll buy one when they are available in store.

Nice pics John

Yup, this one is very hard to not buy... Almost impossible... Impossible.

Canadian Made. Check.

Affordable (for a black rifle that is). Check.

Makes the Lefties have nightmares. Check.

I can hunt with it. Check.

Precision rifle. Check.

I'll wait and see on these, difficult as that is. If the quality and accuracy is there, I'm in.

IMHO, I would wait until the poor saps who buy into the hype on this first generation see how many things need fixing and/or redesigning. Heck, there's even strong debates going on in other forums as to which magazines will even work. Accuracy? Wait and see. Durability? Wait and see. Functionability? Wait and see.

I wouldn't commit a dime until the early buyers have tested and found the faults. And then the fixes. Been burned too many times by over-hyped, over-glorified, untested rifles. Especially ones from a company like NEA, whose track record on quality is somewhat suspect.

I'm on the pre order list for the second batch. Should be in my hands in September or early October.

Accuracy is supposedly MOA out to 300m. The army in New Zealand uses them already.

The rifle will take xcr-m mags so a 10 rounder is available.

Again, haven't these been out for years? I don't think this is a new rifle by any means, just recently available in Canada.

Even with that being said, and NEA's suspect quality issues, I would still wait until the first batch of buyers works through the problems before I would consider jumping on the band wagon.

Agreed, people's experience with NEA makes me want to wait and see.

So NEA is now Black Creek Laboratory or BCL. Apparently these rifles will bear BCL on them and not NEA.

Also new pics were posted today. i dont like the muzzle break but that can be changed easily.

Guys on CGN have them. Results are ok. Lots of guys changing out the trigger right away.

Accuracy seems to be 2 MOA with factory handloads. I'm sure some guys will get it down to 1-1.5.

i picked one up in the first pre-order. OD Green.

It feels well built. I installed an armalite 2-stage trigger i had in another AR that didn't need it. I'll see what it can do with some 165gr nosler accubonds this weekend.
