Doubt. Nice try, but I don’t think they can stop it, regardless of what they do.

I say it was the Trudeau news anyway. Lol.

Yea, the silver spoon leaders in Ottawa are the problem. And its blue collar workers who suffer due to their incompetence. This will only add fuel to the separation fire.

I lowered my target buy in as well, twice in fact. I do know some people that bought in this morning, but I am still waiting.

This market is showing no signs of bottoming. The FED just blasted the market with a ton of liquidity and it bounced for about 20 minutes. VIx at 60-70 all day and sky high for days now. Wow. 2400 on the SP and we will be at the Dec 2018 dip. This feels different than 2008-09, worse lol.

We are less than 1,800 points away from erasing Trump numbers from the Dow completely.

22,000 by midweek was kind of obvious since at least last Friday. I have no idea where the bottom is. And we didn’t even have any major or minor lockouts and whatnot that are coming in all likelihood.

How low will it go, Aurora Pot stock was around $16.00 now it's down to $0.96.

Then there's tomorrow, more of the same, Ken may get his Cdn $ number.

Quote:

Bob Rodriguez: Recent Market Turmoil a ‘Preamble’ to Bigger Crisis | ThinkAdvisor
Dec, 2018

When I interviewed you last January, you said you weren’t personally in the market. Rather, you wanted “to own rare, fully paid-for assets that aren’t subject to calls [by others] and the vagaries of the banking system and financial markets.” You said, “I’m not worrying about whether Mr. Dow or Mr. S&P are going to be up or down tomorrow.” Are you in the market now?

I’m at my lowest exposure since 1971. I have less than 20 basis points total exposure to stocks. They’re via mutual funds. I have no direct ownership. I liquidated all that. [I sold] my last stocks in late 2014, when I completed liquidation of all my energy holdings. My last stock was [at] around 55; the equivalent price today would be about 14. Between 2016 and 2017, I’d sold approximately 98%-99% of what I owned.

Why?

I absolutely hated the capital markets. I’ve always been early. Some people say, “You’re premature, and that means you’re wrong.” They can also say, given the stock market’s [rise] over the last eight years, “Rodriguez, you’ve been a village idiot.” I say, “Maybe you’re right.” On the other hand, the full cycle hasn’t played out, and we haven’t seen the long-term deleterious effect from the unsound monetary and fiscal policies that have been implemented. This is a long-term game.

Anything you feel completely sure about?

I feel confident about one thing: When this market breaks more severely than it has, active managers will be caught — and by the way, so will ETFs and index funds.”

Before anyone buys back in with big %.
Pause
Step away from graphs, data
Look at the situation in the world
Pause
......
Then decide.
Good luck
I hope everyone wins in the end.

I would say if it breaks below the 18,000 mark it’s not going to stop on its way down to around 10,000.

I predict the turning point will be sometime after the governments finally take some real action. By then the death toll will be equal to the Dow.

The market rallied for about 20 minutes this afternoon on the 1.5 trillion$ bazooka and then headed right back down again.

This. Nobody cares about interest rates and liquidity at the moment as much as they do about control, I don’t think.

Well now that you mention it. The Iranian lead whacko is suggesting it is a biological attack. Rallying the troops?

That was a fart in the wind. I think that 18,500 could very well be tested tomorrow.
