London Drugs from time to time has 20 packs at $14.99. Following myself as I'm in need more.

I run around 50 cameras for research so batteries are a big deal for me. Energizer lithiums are by far and away the best but costs have certainly gone up in the last year and a half and large quantities are much harder to come by. I agree the London Drugs is great when they go on sale. I have had some luck with Amazon sellers.

A slight tangent, but for those seeking rechargeables, check out IKEA. Their rechargeable batteries rate quite well in some independent comparison tests on YouTube & are priced reasonably. They seem to be made by Panasonic, based on being made in Japan & testing nearly identical performance #'s. I've used them for at least 5-6 years now

Note the ratings on them as they sell two versions of AA's & two versions of AAA's, the higher output ones are noticeably heavier.

Speaking of lithium batteries, do they make D cell size and have charger, all at reasonable price?

Nimrod, I like the lithium D cells you showed only $46 each. I wanted 8 of them so I could play my Lorreta Lynn tapes at my Trapper cabin on old getto blaster.

As a result of you posting these guys on a previous thread, my last purchase was through them. Super easy to deal with and I was able to procure a 620 count of AA Energizer Lithiums. I won’t have to purchase again for a few years.

Just ordered a 60 pack of Lithium Ultimate's from EBAY for $72.49 Can - works out to $1.21C per battery.
Could not find anything locally for under $3 per battery
I only use the lithium's in the winter and use cheap alkaline in the summer.

Superstore buy them in volume to get the discount and they come down in price a lot.

Grey wolf, if you need 8 D cell and they are hooked up in series they are pushing 12 v, why not just use a car battery or motorcycle battery and some small alligator clips to run your radio off grid.

The "good deal" I posted 2 months ago looks like it was a scammer on EBAY. They did not arrive and I contact EBAY. They looked into it and told me it appeared to be a scammer and refunded me my money.
Back to shopping locally or Amazon.

Was wondering with Lithium and Lithium-ion batteries being used in all the electronics and the EV's coming into play, how long will the supply last? Lithium might last with countries around the world with millions of tons (including Alberta) but will the water supply last to produce the product. What is the cost to extract and develop? Yup we are in an electronic age but at what cost? Oh ya just one more tidbit....be careful when you are done with the lithium batteries. Please read up on how to properly dispose of them. Do not put into your regular garbage. They can and will cause fires.

Two thumbs up for you 35 whelen. Wish more and all would follow your way of thinking. Most don't think little AAA or AA would do anything. Tape them end to end individually, not together and as mentioned recycle them appropriately.
