I fished hwy 40 yesterday and Rangers were out, came twice through the area during the day. They never checked me but they did look around for bait fishers. Nice weather and few fish made for a good day out.

Default A summary.

Well Don, sure got a lot of mileage out of this thread, eh?!

My attempt at summing up:

1. Best not to take pictures of fish.
2. People gonna fish.
3. Best not to take pictures of fish.
4. People gonna fish and take pictures of fish.
5. Best not to take pictures of fish.
6. If people gonna fish, and take pictures of fish, best do it real quick.
7. Best not to take pictures of fish.
8. If people gonna fish, and take pictures of fish, best do it real quick. And that means play the fish quickly, keep in mind the water temps, keep in mind how long you have to fart around with unhooking the fish, keep in mind to keep the fish in the water until the last possible moment, keep in mind that you should have everything ready to go.
9. Best not to take pictures of fish.
10. With respect to 1,3,5,7,9, keep those in mind if you're fishing July and August - especially August - , and if you're fishing by yourself.
11. Best not to take pictures of fish.

Did I get that right? Can I get an "amen" here?

Sounds about right!

I caught an 18" bull trout on an extended body parachute green drake today.
I took several pictures of this fish.

Fishermen don't kill fish, cameras do.

Don

Mission accomplished!

If a few more people take some care with their catch, maybe their kids will have fish to fish for.

All i will tell you Don. Is i take a lot of Fish Pictures(Most of Ones I Keep) i am a Lucky Guy and have the opportunity to Fish A LOT!(not always for my desired Catches..)Despite how some of mine look..(not so much the more recent ones in my albums..) if i put a timer on the Camera, they would not even be close to Out of water for a Min.. Now i am not saying this isn't a issue because it is.. But i never judge a photo.. But i agree i see a LOT that are upsetting.. Beat up Fish Aint Cool

And definately good job with the thread! A lot of viewers!! They say humans retain about 5%of what they read.. But every bit helps!!
