Default (New) Sylvan Lake Conditions W/Video **

wanted to go fish halfmoon bay tomorrow( sat.) morning. never got on to the lake there before. So your saying you cant get on at half moon? Can you come down the lake from town? thanks for the info.

Depends what your driving, but from the looks of it I don't think you would get on unless you have a snowmobile. Not sure about driving all the way down the lake.

With a good 4x4 you can get on at half moon. fished there four two hours with 4 adults , 3 kids, and two cameras. never saw a fish. Went down to rr 23 access was good, if you stay on the main trail you don't need 4x. Saw lots of whites on the camera. nothing would bite. ended up with 4 walleyes between all of us.

Most of the whites were in 5 to 7 feet. but like I said I couldn't get them to even come into the hole. saw lots on the camera. they would come in and skirt the hole a few times and leave. I tried every wire worm color I have , baited not baited, didn't matter. lol. I don't claim to be a whitefish expert by any means. I suck at catching them till march. lol. most of our walleye were deeper in about 10 feet.

Try fishing without the cam. It might be spooking the whites.
