Default Fishing game

My Dad and I play a fishing game which not only makes the day a challenge but also makes for pretty good conservation. What we do is before getting to the lake we decide a catch and keep time e.g., 1:00pm thru 3:00pm and in that time frame we can keep the fish. All other times in the day, the fish get released. The second part of the game, we pre-determine a keeper size e.g., 75 cm with a half cm spread. So if I catch an 74cm or a 76cm it has to go back even if it is caught in the time window. It makes for some good fishing fun, especially on those 30+ days in Spring and Fall. We would go for C&R the live long day but we always want one straight from the lake to the pan.

Anyone else do things to make fishing a bit more challenging?
