Draisaitl so far has a serious chance to score another 50 goals this year.

And that powerplay... wow. Not sure I’ve seen the Oilers run a better one in a loooong time. Just ferocious.

Yeah, that's an awful lot of shots for Koskinen. Tippet did not look very happy after the game and he shouldn't be. Bear continues to play pretty well.

Just a copied post regarding stats from another forum. Nice start to the year for sure. Hoping they can keep it up:

McD/Drai/Neal top 10 in the NHL in points.

McD/Drai/Klef top 10 in the NHL in assists.

Neal/Drai/McD top 10 in the NHL in goals scored.

Kosk top ten in the NHL for goalie wins.

And the one I like best is Benning top 10 in the NHL for +/- only 4 players with better +/- .

Some on here may have seen better in the '80's and early 90's but not me. Keep up the good work boys/DT/KH.

Forgot to mention also Oilers are the # 1 team currently in the NHL.

Conner is amazing. The sad sack that picked Kucherov first overall in my pool is likely regretting it.

Kinda like trading your car for a truck and expecting the same performance.

What's a realistic prediction for goals scored by Neal?

If he power plays with Leon and Connor, 35 I’d say.

With all the HALL talks going on. What do you guys guess a asking price will be?
And IF they manage to land him this season. What do you figure he would get for a contract?

I’d be shocked to see him back in Edmonton.

Oilers are doing very good for sure but I’m not downing the Kool Aid yet.
Last year around this time they were 6-3. We shall see what happens once they play some top ten teams...

lol the only person saying this is Elliot freidman. Everyone ran wild with it. He didn’t listen to coaches. Played his own way. Said he’d never play in Edmonton again, Connor hates him. But maybe he grew up some. If so I’d love to have him but don’t see it happening.

Hall had a bit of a problem his last year here. He spent the summer in rehab.
Hopefully he has changed. Was common knowledge amongst a few crowds in this city that he had to leave...

Exactly! Great start but let's stay grounded here. There's more than a few Oil fans making proper arses of themselves on the SportsNet boards. Baby steps boy's & girls.

Really impressed with the Philly win, those bounce back games are going to make or break any hopes of a second season.

If they can NOT go on 4-5 even 6 game skids and limit the damage to a game or two that will make a HUGE difference. Time will tell. Those loosing streaks are fatal for post season hopes.

In the meantime, sure is fun watching them.

McD is just allways awesome, LD is on FIRE and REALLY liking that Bear kid on the blue line. Kassian seems to have stepped up his game and that new guy we traded for that caveman plug is not so bad of a player after all.

Still not sold on Smith though. His game can be shaky at best and I HATE how he dives when barely touched fishing for a penalty instead of standing tall, I'm embarrassed for him when he does that reguardless of the jersey he's wearing. Also disliked Louongo for the same reason. Just cause he's wearing an Oiler jersey won't make me any less critical of his diving, should he continue is theatrics. Here's hoping those antics are long behind him.

Tighten those lug nuts boys, make sure those wheels don't fall off!

Yes it is fun to watch but with Leon and Mcdavids combined point total of 32 points in just 7 games, it’s a two man show again so far. Not a recipe to get into the playoffs. Maybe a little more scoring depth will raise its head soon.. It’s a long 82 game season....
