Default Daughters first Burbot

Took my 5 year old out to Lake X to try our luck at Burbot fishing. She has never been and I haven't been for 25 years. We drove out and were set up about 5 yesterday afternoon. By 7 we had iced 3 and had missed as many. I would of stayed longer but my partner wanted to go home and show mom.

My girl is hooked on this and if she didn't have a birthday party to go to today we'd be back out there. I guess we'll hit up lake x next weekend.

The burbs weren't real aggressive so I'm thinking they might just be starting to spawn. Hope we haven't missed the frenzy that Burbot fishing can be.

Fish and chips at our house tonight with an appetiser of poor mans lobster. Mom is skeptical but my daughter and I will convince her.

Great job, looks like she is not too keen on the looks of those Burbot! good thing they taste a lot better than they look!

Well at least you know you have a partner close by, let her know the bottom feeders taste the best!
