Went down there 2day with Chris88CL We had way over 100 walleye from fishing off the doc. They all clones but hey who cares it was a great day with good company. There are some frickn HUGE Pike in there. There was a submarine that kept attacking our walleye as we reeled in. He is a BIG BOY. "Like to see you tackle that one Scuba Steve"

Ok - I'll give you another lesson in Pike Wrestling 101 ( but this time bring the video camera dammit ...lol )

When I catch that " HUGE Pike " - It's gonna get mounted on my wall ( not like the last one ...lol )

JTS, can you put a motor boat in there or is it just small enough for shore fishing? Doesn't look too big on the map.

Darnitall Jeff. I zigged instead of zagging. I went east at Stavely instead of West. Darnitall anyway. Sure was windy out there today. Holy smokes was it blowing. Next time we'll be there with bells on. Hopefully mother nature cooperates a little bit.

Default Zigged

Next time you zig stay that direction and you will run into Clear lake. It is about the same distance east as Pine is west. There is some bigger pike action in there as well. Small older lake with good access from shore or boat as well as a campground. When we stay at Pine for several days we sometimes take the boat up and go there for a day trip.

Ive seen scubasteve wrestle pike on the ice, but do you honestly think he can swim and wrestle one at the same time? I mean it took him almost 1/2 an hour to get up from the last bout and he was riddled with injuries from the match.....although he did win I guess. I too would change my name if I caught a fish like that one...you know to avoid the news cameras and all the fame that comes along with being an extremely coordinated fish wrestler......

Hey Jeff, give me a shout on cell when you get out of bed to fill me in on your week of fishing. Im heading camping beside kanaskis lakes and am wondering if you know of a couple spots to throw a fly or want to hook up for a few hours. With the wife and kid I dont have a full day to hike into the high stuff.

Sounds like your slaying them out there....keep the stories coming for those of us stuck in the office.

Regards,

I'll let a big pike pull me around the lake a bit tonight if he wants to.

Ya I saw Clear Lake. I was there this last winter ice fishing it. I drove until I hit gravel road. So we went quite a ways past Clear Lake even. We were looking for Jeff though on PCR. Even the very north end of Clear where it narrows out was 2 foot waves with whitecaps.

Mother nature wasn't cooperating at all.
