Default Vexilar vs Humminbird

Hoping for some personal experience. I have a vexilar Fl8-Slt. Great machine, works awesome but doesn't have a lot of features such as bottom zoom, multi angle transducer, etc. I'm looking at getting an ICE 35 for the extra bells and whistles and was wondering if anyone had personal experience with them? Are they bright and clear? Do they work good in deep water? (100 feet +/-) Reliability after a few years?
Worth the purchase or should I stick with my Vex for now?

if its bells and whistles you are after you should really consider a marcum digital flasher.

My Vexilar FL-18 worked alot better than an Ice 55 when used side by side in 180 FOW at cold lake. I'm partial to Vexilar but that new Marcum tablet flasher unit looks sweet!

I have owned a Humminbird ICE-55, now own a Vexilar FLX28

Its an amazing unit and extremely happy with the unit.

Low power in shallow water, weed mode, 300 feet to name a few. Its ready to fish out of the box. I wouldnt hesitate buying one.

Marcum lx-7 . 160 feet at Cold lake 3 holes in 6 man tent picked up all 3 hooks clearly. Vertical zoom display is outstanding and dynamic setting automatically adjusts range makes operation super easy.
