Carson Lake Is a excellent place. However it is a provincial campground I think. Fishing for Rainbows is top notch here except there not very big most of the time. About 8-13 inches mostly.

You can also try Beaver Mines past Pincher Creek. Its a Prov. campground as well and a really nice lake full of trout.

when i went ice fishing at bellis lake just east of the town of smokey lake this winter i was very impressed with the nice campground, though i don't know if they have a beach area. it's a very pretty lake with good trout fishing.
