Good to see your Dad still gets out.

All these father and child threads are awesome. I love seeing the youth get into it. I really enjoy this too. My grandparents, both sides of my family, all four of them are mid 80’s. None of them are really outdoorsmen but they are all still active. I wish I could do this with my grandfather.

Post of the season for sure. "...the animal is a necessary actor, but the experience of hunting is the real trophy." -David E. Petzal

Excellent, good on you for going over and above, first to take your Dad out, and second to make him as comfortable as possible. By the look on his face he looks like it may take a few more seasons before he decides to hang up the Auto 5.

Good stuff. As i get older in understand the value of this more and more. Sounds very familar to me. I always wondered the same about my
Grampa. He shot his last white tailed deer i think 2 years ago at 91. He has now quit shooting but still comes with me and my brother and my daughter. We road hunt more than ever now but its to get him out with us. I would rather sacrifice a big deer to have the time in the truck.

Great pics! Really nice of you to take him out! I laughed about the hand warmers, sounds like a comfortable set up.
