cool fish! interesting that in BC a commercial fisherman could keep that and sell it, though a sport fisherman must release it. A 1000lb sturgeon must be worth alot

by looking on the internet, as well as my friend recently ate sturgeon in Vancouver??

You can eat Sturgeon in Vancouver because there are two places that farm white sturgeon in BC...... As well, there is some limited retention on the lower Columbia system.

There has been a moratorium on retention of Fraser River sturgeon for both sport and commercial caught fish since 1994.

so sturgeon in Vancouver might not necessarily come from one of the farms then?? Farming sturgeon must be difficult, are white sturgeon as slow to re-produce as lake sturgeon??
