Default Early season trout

Anyone have any tips they are willing to share for catching trout in our local pot hole lakes around Edmonton? I have not fished this early for trout in quite a while now but am thinking of heading out to give it a try before I leave for the US again. I will be limited to fishing from shore and was thinking of a worm and bobber set up or something but not sure. Any tips would be appreciated!

sounds like a good setup from shore. i like to use wablers, but they are a bit light to cast from shore at most of the potholes
good luck

Yeah to wabblers or I had the best luck with a five of diamonds, can't go wrong with that ever. Good for bows and brookies.
