Default Spring Lake Report

We went to Spring lake this morning right off of Stony Plain,
lol what a day !!!, caught about 70 perch and same for my buddy and his son,
except most of the perch were between 3" and 7" lol whata joke...,
that lake is doomed, buddy of mine also caught 2 rainbows , one was about 4" long and the bigger one was about 10", that's funny I thought that the stocked trout would get a bit of a size to it over the summer and the fall but lol at 4" of length makes you wonder if there is any food left in the lake for the trout, the perch there will pretty much inhale anything you toss at them,
beef jerky worked great too as they could not rip it off the hook ,
there was only 1 vehicle on the ice the ice thickensss was just over a foot,
I had lots of bubbles coming out of my hole , like underwater gass or something, well it was a fun day and great practice for the next weekend and a real lake...

Hope this helps ,

Cheers !

Sounds like the same thing as last year. The trout looked like they were starving. Skinniest trout I have ever seen. Great place to take little kids if you want to take tiny guys off the hooks all day.
