Default Looking for White Mud (not the creek)

Hey I wonder if any of my fellow fishermen might help me out. I make pottery for a living and I am always looking to find local materials to use as I walk creeks and rivers. I am trying to find some white clay/rock material to use and I noticed the name of Whitemud creek last time I was in Edmonton. Has anyone come across any white clay while fishing?
Thanks guys

What about the grey coloured clay? How common is it to find "white" clay?
