I know.. I hate it. I was thinking the same thing. So far these early games have been in Philly and Pitts. Where else? Its obviously some sort of new fangled idea that can quickly be dumped.

I think a lot has to do with the fact that American venues are multi purpose. They probably get a lot for the TV rights of an NBA game so they get the better time slot in the evening.
I like watching a game early but I don’t like it being my team. Plus it promotes day drinking which we all know is evil

HAHa good call, wonder if that would be a legit complaint to the NHL regarding the crappy day games, promoting day drinking.

That was super fluky but I'll take it, makes up for that wide open net that was missed earlier. Think it went off 5 sticks/skates before finding the back of the net.
If they can keep this up, should be a 6-1 type victory.

Is it just me, or does smith seem to be playing, a bit different style? He is usually a stand up goalie who lunges at the puck. He now seems to be on his knees more covering, the bottom of the net better, a bit more like Rittich.
