Mercury OB parts in Calgary

I have a mid eighties Mercury 60 HP 3cyl Out Board and I need a new impeller and a starter solenoid. Can anyone point me to a good place to get these parts in the Calgary area? I actually live in Airdrie. I would prefer aftermarket parts like sierra but any port in a storm. I could also use a manual for this engine if anyone has one they would like to part with.

"Dandy Auto Marine RV" ? They're in Airdrie. I don't think they are a 'licensed dealer' but they can order those parts for you through Mercury. They just can't get certain things as I believe there is a 'bigger' commitment to being a "Official Mercury Dealer".

Theres a Merc parts dealer near Edmonton trail and 32 ave N.E. Its back by the old Mustangs. My last Impeller was $40, selenoid shouldn't be much more then that. You might be able to use an older Ford selenoid, I've seen one on a 70' merc 50hp. It had 2 holes drilled into the mounting bracket of the selenoid, aside from that you wouldn't know it wasn't original.

If you have the time, you can take your started to one of the hundred Starter-Alternator rebuilders on the other side of Edmonton Tr & 32, and they'll set you up for cheap.

If you have the time, but want new parts, look at Vancouver marien dealers. Even with shipping they usually far cheaper then here. Takes only a day or two. mercurymarina.com is one of them.

As for a manual, you'll have to buy one new. Check out Iboats.com, they'll have links for you to find a manual and even parts.

Thanks guys I live across the street from a guy who works at dandy as an auto mechanic. I got a quote from them for a new starter that was like 500 bucks so I ordered one from ebay for 89 bucks plus shipping. That 500 was probably for an actual mercury stater. I was hoping there was somewhere local that I could get cheap after market parts. I think Iboats-parts finder has a solenoid for 15 bucks. If it's anywhere close locally I would go for it but I'm not about to spend 3 or 4 times that amount. I have had this motor for a few years and I don't even know if it's any good because the starter was hooped. I jumped the leads tonight and it turned over nicely.
