Default Hawaii suggestions?

Sitting in Honolulu and looking to get out for a day with my son. Anyone have any recommendations?

How old? Rent a jeep CJ, drive around to the north shore and do some body surfing at Waimea Bay.

There are quite a few charterboats operating out of the big marina just up the road. Or take a bus to Hanauma bay for some snorkling. You can grab a bus up to Diamond Head and climb to the lookout. I saw some people up there even older than you so you should be ok

If your into fly fishing get a hold of captain Rick Lee of Bonefish Hawaii...took me out for my first crack at it and although challenging was a blast...saw a lot of big bonefish, hooking them was another matter.

Proceed with great caution. I have heard horror stories about the ice fishing there.
