Default My new Pike Flies

Heres a couple new flies I tied for Pike. The Cisco pattern is 6.5 inches long And the perch pattern is almost 8 inches. I want to tie a few more different ones up and a few more of the same befor I hit Wabamun at the end of the month.

Great looking flies, I like the way you have stripes on your perch pattern. Did you use a felt marker to make it? Do you find you miss a lot of hook ups when you make your flies 6.5" long? I end up tying a double hook on mine, one facing up and one down.

Job well done man. I'd love to try those suckers out in the spring up north when the big gators are shallow. Best of luck!

size down that perch pattern to 3 inch that would be a perfect streamer for the bow big browns and raibows would eat that up

Very nice - those will entice those sharks. Do you run a trailer hook on those beauties?

The one I'm doing right now has 2 hooks. The second one is attached with 30lb leader material. I'll post a pic when its complete.

BBJ, I'm sure that will work just fine. Buck tail makes great streamers. For more motion out of your flies keep the butt of the hair to the front and the tips to the rear. You may end up using more hair, but you wil find you get a better flow or movement.
