I bought one for my cabin. Would of bought the Honda but in all honesty I am to lazy to haul it home every time. It is in a secured shed but locks only keep honest people out and if it goes missing then I will be mad but not as mad.
It runs good, starts easy but the same with all generators, but especially so with off brand (not honda or yammy), is the break in. Be cautious. The manual says after 25 change the oil but I changed the oil at about 5 hours under only light to moderate load then again at 20 hours with varying loads up to heavy. There is no oil filter and any shavings are going strait into the cylinders. I could of probably done a bit more but will find out in the years to come.
Hmm interesting, its hard to find any real reviews on internet. I am considering this unit to run my RV. Plus if I have any issues its from Costco and wont be any issues returning. At a third of the price and running same decibels/output it seems like a no brainer.
Friend just bought one from Costco. Seems like a good machine but it is not as quiet as a Honda 3000W invertor. Have heard both run and the Firman is louder. My Champion 2000W invertor is noticeably quieter than the Firman.
I noticed you can buy the Firman everywhere, Lowe’s, Costco, Walmart, Home Depot and on . Never heard of that brand till last year, are they just a Chinese brand?

My dad bought one online from Costco last spring, used it all last season camping. Has a nice little fold away handle and wheels. I couldn’t tell much difference between the noise of his and a 3000 Honda. My Honda 2000 is quieter of course but won’t run my camper ac which doesn’t really bother me. It is a great deal especially when you compare costs with a Honda or Yamaha and with Costco’s 3 year warranty that is a plus.
