Default Black bear rut

Just like the white tail rut I’m sure everyone has different opinions when peak is but I’m curious what time frame are black bears in full rut in Alberta?

This.

Drives me nuts.

We can't hunt the first week of June when the adult males are really out, but we can start baiting in the middle of march when there's still over 3' of snow...

Anybody that has actually baited bears, and invested hundreds of hours in sourcing and delivering bait to remote sites and driven hundreds of miles, fuel costs, knows that baiting bears is not easy.

Baiting is even easier when you're trying to kill a well aged big boar, they are the dumbest....Usually one sit and it's done!

If you know an easy way to bait, please, share with the group..
I'm sure there are dozens, if not hundreds of us that have spent countless hours and dollars baiting the most prime areas we can get to, feeding hundreds of average bears and every other creature you can think of, just for a glimpse at a booner.

So go on, don't hold back. I've got my pen and paper ready...
