Default Anybody read Murray Bate's "Game Warden" books?

I was gifted his fourth book "Game Warden IV" ( have not read any of the others ).

Just wondering if anyone has read any and what they think?

Murray takes the enforcement side pretty seriously, very cut and dried, still has an interest in the business, spouting off in the local paper occasionally. Told he has a job acquired back injury that is interfering with his writing. More humerus approach here.

Murray's books are pretty good but as stated are more on the serious side. I like Chuck Shipley's much better....they are hilarious!!

I agree, I enjoyed Shipley's tales.

I just find Murray Bates to be the definition of "legend in his own mind". I find it hard to read his book.

Some of his stories seem almost too unbelievable.

And he has great disdain for other ministries within the Ab Gov. and makes no effort to hide it.

Not a fan.
