Default Boyds stock for Zastava 98?

I want to replace the plastic stock on the M70 I got from Tradeex. On the Boyd's site all they list for Zastava guns is a semi-inlet walnut stock, but I was hoping to do laminate. I know Zastava made the mausers for Charles Daly, but will the Zastava drop into a CD stock?

Any help is appeciated!

Edit: I should add that the Interarms Mark X stocks are only offered in semi-inlet walnut as well.

Zastava also made the barreled action for the Remington 798s. I doubt the M70 has changed much from what they were sending Remington. My suggestion is to call Boyd's, they are very good to deal with over the phone, and get them to tell you which is the best fitting laminate.

Failing that, get an un-inlet piece of laminate and take it to the gun stock duplicator in New Norway. He can use your old stock to make you a nice new one with just the inletting you want. I have him making me a left hand shooter right hand action model 54 using the 54 right hand stock for the inletting and a left hand 64 stock for the trigger guard back. Pick it up on Tuesday, interested to see how that one turns out. He charges about $150 to duplicate using your wood.

Default Export limit

I was under the impression Boyd's would not ship any stock to Canada if it is over $100 in value? Harold

Add my problem here. Tried to order a stock for a Sako Av, but when I went through the selection process check off , It wouldn't let me past Sako .

Found this info on another AOF thread, I presume this is the guy,

For synthetic I know of no one. For wood, you can take your old stock to Trace Stock Duplicating in New Norway 780-855-2291 and have a replacement wood one made. There are a bunch of other places that will do the same for you. If you don't want to do the finnish work etc you will need to find a good gunsmith to finnish it off.

The action on a Zastava is the same as a 98 but the trigger guard is different.

Used to be called Trace Gun Stocks but Mr Trace sold it to a couple of other fellows about 18 months ago. It is now called Alberta Gun Stocks. 780-608-4364 or 780-679-7421. Still located in New Norway.
