Default Chain Lakes east of Morningside

Just a few quick questions. The small lakes that are east of Morningside called Chain Lakes. What was the water level last year, high or low like Coal Lake? Also, is there a boat launch in the day use area and what condition is it in? And last, what size Pike are coming out of it?

Thanks in advance for any info as any info is more than I have right now.

These are spring fed and have fairly stable depth 12-20 feet. The first two are shallower and choke up with weeds pretty bad. The most eastern one, Magee is a bit deeper and can be accessed from RR 24-3 on either side of the lake. The boat launches are just gravel and sand. All of them are full of little slough sharks you can catch the odd 3-4 pounder but nothing great. Really fun lakes for little kids because you seldom get skunked there. Fished the middle one last summer once. Don't plan on eating anything out of there. The water stays pretty warm and they're mushy. Hope this helps.
