Default Where to buy smelts?

Where would be a good place to buy smelts? Haven't been finding any in grocery stores or sportshops.

Wholesale Sports had lots left this evening. Fly's in High River had quite a few as well.

Stupidstore has 2-lb bags of smelt in their seafood section...I keep the bag in the freezer; just put 15 or so in a zip-lock on the counter to that, the night before I go out. Works great.

I think superstore beats any "bait shop" for value and size. I must be not the only one as they sell out on smelt in summer on saturdays in the morning. (is there any other use than bait for smelt???)

T&T asian food market on 97 street and 137 avenue in Edmonton usually has good quality smelts and all others sorts off fishy stuff in different sizes. Check em out.

Not sure where you are located but some Husky gas stations sell bait. The one in Forest Lawn does, but not sure if that helps you...
