Was plenty thick for walking Dec 4th 7-8", some flooding but could avoid those areas. Fishing was dead for me and other folks out there. Very unusual not to entice even a few bites.

Little McLeod also, saw some whitefish and pike though which is positive.

What area of the lake,I notice most people fish off the walk way near the launch. I may try the narrows this weekend. Hows the snow on the lake?

Not much into ice fishing but have been fishing Carson for 40 yrs. Did a couple of multi day trips last season and fishing was the worst I have ever seen it. Not sure what is going on with that lake? Stocking numbers down? Pelicans? Anybody know???

We fished it in March last year, had a few really good outings. Better than the previous year. Stocking numbers are way down from where they used to be so that makes a huge difference in what it produces.

We don't have much snow up here. 6" max, maybe some drifts after todays winds.

Be very careful near the shore off the peninsula. Fell through about this time years ago. +8” everywhere else that day not sure what the deal was.

There isn’t too much snow around here in the open.

Fished here on jan 2, ice is 18" to 20" thick, only 3 or 4 inches of snow. very easy drving. The bite was crazy, lots of small fall stocked trout on the hook, great fun for little kids to fish. If you just want to have a fun day and catch fish all day long you can. Finding a keeper is the tough part. Was a great day and lots of fun. So many bites that we ran out of bait!!!
