Default Coal lake perch hunting

Quad, auger, rod, a few hooks.
Started on south end worked my way to the north end. Tried likely spots and the ones that produced in the past(both pump houses, and the narrows).
Probably punched 50 holes.
A few minutes in each hole.
Zero perch. 1 little jack.
Oh well, was a nice day and lots of family’s out fishing, quadding, sledding and bbqing.

I have seen two perch there... one on camera and one dead in the spring amongst a bunch of winter killed suckers and pike.

There are way to many jack in the house. I think they got all the perch. Last year I caught 23 jack the one day ice fishing.

Drove by yesterday and saw lots of activity on the south end.

What's the ice conditions like, fairly thick across where you were drilling? Consistent thickness?

Thanks

Default Coal lake

Was out on coal lake on the 1st. Solid 15 inches of ice in the holes I drilled. I didn’t, but some guys have been driving on.

I fished it a couple times last week. Drove about 1 mile up the east side. 16 inches of good hard ice everywhere I went. No heaves.

Ya it’s drivable. Pretty consistent ice thickness and I drilled from one end to the other
