I'm going to be camping down at Writing on Stone and I was wondering if I should take my fishing gear with me.

Not sure about the river, the but the ridge resivor is great fishing I hear, and will be on it coming up soon. So yeah, I'd take the gear and try fishing from shore.

milk river
it's a very silty river and tough to fish. the deepest lies produce the biggest fish. the odd pike is in there too.

Heningers Reservoir is not to far within half hour and is stocked with trout can be fished from all sides
the river will be quite high and dirty most likley but still could be fished with some bright spinners
good luck
