Default Cold Lake this long weekend

I was wondering if any members, who know the lake well, will be fishing Cold Lake this long weekend.

Please send me a description of your boat so I can follow you around and study you with my binoculars.

I have caught hundreds of Lakers over the years, but simply have not been out to Cold Lake very much ........... just want to follow you out to the spot and crowd you a little.

But seriously ........... any decent areas that may come to mind please PM me if you are inclined to do so.

The hardest part of hunting lakers is finding the best spots ..... for your trouble ...... I will buy you a round of drinks in town ......

The Lakers have been easy to find, we landed close to 50 our last outing, finding ones over 10 pounds is another matter some days you find em some days you dont

For those heading out, remember the size limit change.

Lake trout must now be 75cm.

Good luck out there.

TrophyPikeHunter and I will be following you guys around in a Black Lund Tyee 18ft with a Honda hanging off the back.

I will be the guy with the binoculars creeping you out.

Should be out late Friday .......... depending on what time we get out we may not be on the water until Saturday am.

Thinking of maybe going over to Marie for some Pike/Walleyes in the afternoons or evenings ......... anyone had any luck there - neither of us have ever been to Marie.

The proce of the round is worth it since I'm expecting good info from the guys who have been out there earlier than me ..........lol

Some of the local cold lake residents may have sore lips after I am finished dragging my balls up and down the bottom...

Just got back , Pp launch is a zoo ! Don't need brains or skills to own a boat ! Anyway , got 25 lakers today. First 6 hours downrigging , got 13 , biggest were 67 and 68 cm. We anchored about 3pm and got 12 more in 3.5 hours. Got 67 , 68 , 75 , 76 ( my 6 year old ) and the biggest was a 78cm. Coached the boy on when to reel up and when to drop back down as fish came through , he did me proud. Fish were measured natural tail and only took pics of my sons. I'll post tomorrow.
