I prefer the Alberta term, Jacks. As in I caught several Jacks today.

Speaking of which, if luck is with me I shalls be saiding that in a couple of days.

Boats almost ready to go, I've got another week of vacation time and I've got the wardens permission.

Fishermans Bay here I come!!!!!!

They are useless fish....... and once you started catching pike you might as well pack in your rod and move to a different location as they screwed up the rest of the fish.

You guys forget I was lucky in that I grew up fishing the great lakes. So Pike were NEVER a desired species.

Grew up down there as well, but there are nothing wrong with pike, if ya ever caught one over 20lbs, on a tip up its a good fight, and I also bet my bud can cook it and you would think its walleye. just cause most people dont know how to fillet them without any bones guys dont like em. and bass taste like s@#$, however I do like to fish for em...And with all the pollution in the great lakes who's eating that crap..

And how do they screw up other fish?

They spook the other species of fish. When pike came in the rest went out.

I had a sensitive pallet to fish growing up.
Many times people tried to fool me........ but all they did was pi ss me off which resulted in me throwing plate of food in garbage and leaving.

Caught big pike, muskie etc.
If I was targeting muskie, it wouldnt bother me..... but not when I wanted Crappie, perch, bass, etc

Agreed pike can ruin a good perch or white fish day that's for sure.
