Rem 7600$
Hey all, just wondering, what you would pay if you wanted one and it came available. Wood stock, blued,year unknown. 30-06 caliber topped with a bushnell 3-9X40
Curious as I may buy one, little better than 1/2 price new.

Huh? If I wanted one, and it came up for just over 1/2 price I'd be on it like a fat kid after a smartie. They are good rifles, that are often under rated.
Ps I prefer the straight stock, vs the raised comb, ymmv.

I think Canuck Shooter's estimate is a little low, but lightly used they go pretty reasonable. I've seen some pretty decent looking ones go about $450 with a scope.
How new are you talking about? Is this one of the older ones? I think they are finished a little nicer.

I should have qualified that perhaps...the scope is worthless to me, so my estimate would be for the rifle, bases and rings....

Lol about the scope
Like I said year unknown however there is fluer'd'lis engraved in the checkering if that helps date it.

Yeah, usually they are not very new or high dollar scopes. But still a little low. But then if that is what you are willing to pay, that's what it is worth to you.

If its a 7600 depending on age anywhere from 450-700 is what I'd look for if selling(although why would someone sell their 7600, awesome guns!!). If its a 760 then its worth quite a bit less since you can no longer get parts for them, I wouldn't pay more then 300 for a 760.

New 7600 are worth 920.00 for wood grain. Was cheaper 3 years ago when I bought my .243, wood grain was 819.99.
Just bought a new 30-06 7600 today, VIP pricing at cabelas today, couldn't say no. I bought a Boyd's stock for it 6 months ago and boy oh boy she is a beautiful rifle!
Hope you purchase it, they are marvellous rifles!

is it the 18" barrel version?
If so, I'd pay an arm and a leg. If not, just a leg. I've got a synthetic 7600 in .243 and it's fantastic.
Just a side note, these rifles are notorious for feeding issues with aftermarket magazines. Mine aren't bad but sometimes you need to take a pair of pliers or a hammer to the lip of the mag.

Not to derail too badly, I've been eyeing a 7600 carbine in 30-06. They were new at cabelas for around 900ish not too long ago. Question is about the monte carlo stock: does the high comb get in the way of using irons? I've yet to get a chance to shoulder one.

They do have feeding issues if you have the wrong magazine, my .243 was bad until I bought a short action mag for it. Now it works great. Western Gun Parts has them.

I found the monte carlo stock on the synthetic stock was to high to shoot open sights. The wood stock isn't as bad but is still a little high. I guess Remington thought everyone would be putting scopes on them. If you're concerned about it you can buy the butt stock for a 20G 870 and it will fit fine.

lol that'll do it. My mags are all short action mags (I have 4 or 5).
My synthetic 7600 has the comb on the stock and It doesn't interfere with the iron sights at all, in fact it fits me better than pretty much any other gun that comes to mind right now.

I am, with a caveat, my apprentice brought it to my attention that a former apprentice was selling the rifle. Therefore he has full first rights to the sale
( imho) he's kinda on the fence as to wether to buy. Crossing my fingers
