Default Carbon tax protest

I just heard there is a nation wide protest planned for April 1. News to me and I'm in, but it better be major event.

I thought that was the alleged point of carbon tax. Weird way to protest.

One of the best ways to protest is to go on X and like and comment. It will snowball if people get on it.

That day would be a great day..I’m getting very tired of the nonsense our leaders are trying to shove down our throats on a daily basis, corruption, money laundering, greed, a man with a huge chip on his shoulder that needs removing, fake news about almost everything, we are living a nightmare in a dream world….🤯

As we get closer to April 1 expect the main stream media to start pumping out the “ climate crisis” propaganda

I was thinking that Trudeau pawn, George Chagal in Calgary needs to meet a few of his concerned constituents. He's the guy usually standing wordlessly beside Trudeau and nodding his head, when he sneaks into Calgary.

The only way that agenda will make media news, even at the CBC, is if the add is paid for.

You have to remember that a religious, intellectual, group feels betrayed by the Liberal Party of Canada over the GAZA proclamation, and alot of these people hold positions in power in the Media Industry.

They have no interest in helping Justin and Friends.

I saw a wonderfully disingenuous bit of reporting on Global yesterday. It was a story about the Alberta fuel tax going up $0.04/l on April 1. No mention of the Carbon tax increase the same day... I think the UCP would be well served to delay implementing the increase by a week, otherwise they will be blamed for the price hike at the pumps on April 1.

I agree it would be sound strategy.

This and they get to sell stuff to us with no carbon tax on it...only Canadian businesses have to pay. Last time I checked making something with coal fired energy and then shipping it halfway around the world with bunker fuel burning ships is crazy carbon intensive....but y'know free pass.

Wonder how long the government would operate if we withheld 23% of our taxes? Would be a real eye opener I bet!

I wager since most of us have the lions share of our taxes taken off thru payroll deductions at the corporate level, there’s very little chance of with holding much of anything tax wise.

This!!! And, just to add insult to injury, 36 million metric tons (according to government of canukistan website), of coal depart Vancouver B.C. canukistan every year, the vast majority headed for China!! When this coal arrives it is dumped into furnaces at those power plants and burned with ZERO attempt to capture or scrub the emissions! Further, I guess the orcas off the B.C. coast know the difference between tankers and coal ships because there is no mention of coal ships bothering them. Also, there is no outcry about the fact we supply coal, but no chance we can supply Germany or Japan with much cleaner burning natural gas!! Brilliance at its finest!!!
