Just the other day I took the breasts and rolled them in flour/salt/pepper and then fried them on butter and they were very good,,, took a while to cook,, as I think you need to get all the red out but maybe i am wrong.

I think rottie's idea sounds tastier but if you don't have eggs try something like this

Soak them in cold salt water for a couple hours then spice and fry or bbq just til done.

Don't forget the legs there's some good meat on them.

If you want a nice side dish keep the hearts and livers and fry them up too!

X2, this is what we always did. But after reading the rest of these I have to broaden my horizons.

I take the breast, lay it on tin foil, put a chunk of butter on it, wrap some raw bacon around it, sprinkle with garlic salt and then wrap the whole works in the tin foil and put it in the oven for 40 minutes at 325 degrees.

Default Grouse

Think I'll borrow all these grouse recipes and write a cook book, supplement my income.

I had this talk with my cousin, the step on the wings pull the feet and pick up the breast and bag it. I step on the feet, and pull the wings, that way the breast is in your hands when you are done, not on the ground
