Default Swarovski Z3

Any Z3 users here? Any reviews for this scope for a hunting rig with the brh or x reticle?

thanks

I have the Z-3 3-10x42 mounted on two rifles, and they are excellent scopes. The clarity is very good as is light transmission, and they are quite light. I am using the BRH reticle on two rifles, but in Z-5 scopes, and the reticle works well for my loads. The BRX is too fine for use in low light, but would be good for varmints in good light.

I have three of them. All 3-10 BRX models. Reticle is clear for me, whether in the bush or in low light. Beautiful scopes. I need another.

Great scope, sprang for the BRH on my elk rifle. You can take a look through one at Cabela's if you haven't already. You really don't need to spend multiple grand to get excellent glass

Is it worth the extra cost over a Leupold 3xi 3.5x10x40 ?

In my opinion yes. Definitely better clarity and light transmission.

I have my Swarovski Z3 4x12x50mm mounted on a Remington 300 Ultra Mag and hunt mainly deer. I bought this scope knowing it would allow me to make shots at long distances without giving up accuracy. I am able to see crystal clear detail in low light conditions and great distances. I am very please with the scope and would highly recommend it.!

I have one of these scopes and love it. Z3 3-10x42 with the BRH reticle. Its biggest strength is the vivid image, even in low light conditions. It has very few faults if any at all. The eye relief is tight, but 90mm (3.5") is an industry standard. I also agree with elkhunter11 that the reticle is fairly fine - how much you like it will depend on your eyes and intended application.

I've only been able to do side-by-side comparisons in the field with Leupold and lower end Vortex, both brands/models it outclasses. I also did daylight testing with several scopes that compete more directly with it (Zeiss, higher end Vortex) and decided the Z3 was the one to get.

I have a Leupold scope on another rifle, but not from the vx-3i series. I think they both represent good value at their respective price points, so whether one is a better buy than the other depends how much the extra money means to you. The Z3 is about twice as much and it shows. I would say one is a great scope for the price, while the other is simply a great scope.

There are 2 4-12x50 brh scopes here. They are worth it.

Default Z3 App

Check out Swarovski's webpage and the app for the Z3 scope if your into the electronic/ballistic end of things. Makes the BRH reticle even more appealing.

I have one of these scopes and love it. Z3 3-10x42 with the 4 reticle. Scope has stunning clarity and since i don't do long range shooting i opted for the unique 4 reticle ... i fine it allows quick on target acquisition with full field viewing in top half of the scope. highly recommend all Swarovski products

I have the 3-10x42 mounted on a .308 Win.

This is my go-to hunting rifle now. The scope is fantastic, head and shoulders above any others I own in terms of clarity, crispness, and reticle (BRX). They are probably the lightest scope amongst any peer as well.

I wish I had one on each of my rifles.

I have 2 a 3x9 and a 3x10, both with Plex . I can see 6mm bullet holes in targets at 200yds with the 3x9. I cannot do that with my Leupold VXII 4x12.

Lite weight and very clear, worth the money IMHO.

You won't regret buying one. The price seems like more than it should be for an "entry level" optic, once you get some time in the field with it you will be able to justify the extra cost. I have an HD5, a vx3 and a vx3i, they are still out performed by clarity and low light conditions by my 3-9x36 Z3. This scope is mounted in tally lightweights on to my Kimber Montana in 338 win mag, making a nice light rifle for the mountains and long hikes tracking elk herds. It handles the recoil well, I chose the smaller scope to keep the weight down. I would like the swaro flip caps for the model I have but they don't offer them. For a low priced, high end optic it is a very good value for your money. A scope to last a lifetime of hunting.

how does the z3 compare the leupold vx6? Not weight or size just clarity and colour? Please chime in if anyone has had both.

I have had both, not much between them in my view, glass wise, but for a hunting rifle, I prefer the Z3, ( I have three).

The VX6 is a heavy pig of a scope, better suited to a heavy target or long range rifle, at least not on one, your carrying all day,
Precision optics, CGN, has swarvo optics on sale, a Z5 can be picked up for 1500-1600, he'll of a scope for that price,

Good to know they are close in optically quality. Leupold just came out with HD glass in the vx6 line up, haven't seen it yet, but I like the vx6 glass that I have currently. Never owned a Swarovski.

The Vx6 2-12 is only 16.8 oz. I believe the Z3 is about 12.7 oz. I really wish they made the z5 in a 2-10...that would be perfect, love FOV in my hunting scopes.

Just thought I'd mention for anyone who's a fan of the Z3's. Prophet River has some pretty good prices on these scopes right now. I just picked up a 3-9x36 for $799.00.

So people find the Z3 superior to the VX3I? Was thinking getting a VX3I with a 30mm tube with the CDS but the Z3 4-12X50 BT Plex is now attractive with the deal at Prophet River.

Any1 got the Custom Turret from Swaro? How much was it?

was going to buy a Z3, but went the Vortex Razor Light Hunter instead. I found the reticle and clarity just slightly better, plus the lifetime warranty is nice.

Sent a message to Swaro and the personalized turrets are 189$.

The Vx3i with the 30mm tube and CDS cost me 996$ and the Z3 with the BT 1180$.

You’ll probably need that warranty with the vortex
I’ve never needed the warranty with any Swarovski

I run the BRX on my rifle , but my eyes are still good, most have trouble in low light but I don’t . But time will catch me I’m sure .
