Default Rem 600 conversation to take mag?

Has anyone done this i have seen a few where they have used rem 7 mag kits just looking for tips from someone who has done it

Don't know about detachable mags, but there are metal units available, to replace that cheap plastic trigger guard.

The 600's trigger is further forward, the trigger shoe ends up at the front of the guard. It is possible to use a mod. 7 trigger you would need to drill the back guard screw father back and fill the old hole. most guys that use model 7 stocks on a 600 use the ADL blind magazine.

Hard to see in the picture the rear the rear screw is 1/4" back on the mod 7 stock

I have the metal bottom in mine now and i have looked at 2 companys that make the rem 7 mag kit everyone is telling me so far that you have to add a hole in the back of the tang

I don't know how you would use a 7 rem mag kit which is a long action in a 600 which is a short action ?????

As in a model seven mag kit not a 7rem mag

My mistake.
It would probably work but if I remember the hole spacing on model 7 and 600 are different and make take some engineering . It's not just a matter of switching parts . If I remember I looked into when the model 7 came out years ago

Default Rem 600 - Rem 7

I use a Rem M7 hinged floor plate and mag box etc on my M600 Rem just had to drilll and tap the hole further back in the tang- Also i used the Rem M7 trigger too RJ
