Been thinking about this for a couple years and have everything lined up provided I get the draw I want.
Other than that I will do the annual elk hunt for no other reason than it's just a really great time and experience every year.

Good luck everyone for the coming season.
Fingers crossed on the moose. Looking forward to that story and the pics.

My goal this year is to successfully harvest my first antlerless moose in November, and to do a public land elk and sheep hunt and at least see each animal. Think the second is a lofty goal but I've already started doing hikes with my hunting pack increasing the kit load as I go.

Can't wait to see where the year takes me!

Last year I got my first big game animal, a mule doe at 349 yards. I've taken quite a few birds and enjoyed it. Mt son has been at my side for a few of these and always been excited about coming out.
My goal for this year is to get him a deer in his first eligible hunting season as he turns 12 at the beginning of September.

Have my daughter shoot her first big ol' bull moose this year after watching her take her first elk last year. She is hooked. For moi, plan on shooting some sea ducks and a few male chocolate pinnies that actually have sprigs lol

Involve my family in more of my hunting adventures. Specifically, bring the kids out for grouse and bring my wife along for bigger game; to let them have the opportunities that I got to have last year, being my first year hunting.

I feel like not only will it be a great thing for the family and build skills for the younger ones, but also will maybe allow them to understand and share my love of the outdoors and hunting too.

Kill a bull elk in the early season with my bowl tag out on a 50 inch bull moose by my cabin and take my son for his first antelope and possibly Camp Wainwright?

I want to close on a bull elk with my bow.
I've taken a moose and deer, so that's my goal this year.
Same goal as the last 4 seasons! LOL!

Now I want to kill a nice buck and have tenderloins marinaded in scotch over the coals of our campfire.

No that sounds like a good time!

Goals for 2017 ?
Out smart the boss man to get 2 weeks off in late October to hunt the
2017 whitetail rut without dodging friendly fire.

Easier said than done.

Minimal goal is a general WT, but I would really like to see anything legal in general Elk I could at least attempt to shoot. Had early luck with WT last season, but most memorable, although frustrating, moments seeking for legal Elk on Crown land, still was a good season.

My plan is to bring my.kids along on every hunt I can. Help my nephew shoot his first deer and bear. Haul my dad's moose out of the bush for him and alot of migratory bird hunting. I will try for my.personal best wt. Iam p8 on antlered mule deer so not sure if I'll draw that may not have the time off.

I bought a bow a couple years ago and with my work schedule, I never have used it for hunting, let alone practiced enough to justify using for hunting. So this year that is my main goal is to harvest my first archery animal, most likely a deer but if I feel comfortable enough who knows. The second part for this season is to just spend more time outdoors, scout some new areas this summer, try and line up a group hunt for a week with some of the boys.

Spot and stalk Grizzly or with hounds next month for myself ( God I hope I can find that bear)

30 plus blackies and colour phases for clients

Summer time in the north country getting ready for our fall season

10-12 moose, couple Caribou, couple Grizzly for clients

Ewe draw when I get home from up north in late October

November whitetails and muleys

Possibly Spain in December for Ibex if I can swing it time wise

More wolves then last year on the Trapline and finally catch up with that Wolverine

Oh and slam off a couple Cougar/Lynx combo's in between show season travelling

Should be a blast !!!

Get something with my bow.

See a large, shootable bull elk. I'd be happier to see it and miss, than miss the opportunity.

Help my dad get his cow moose if he gets drawn. Help my uncle get his cow elk if he gets drawn. Help my buddy fill his ram tag, he helped me fill mine last season. Likely going to South Africa for plains game in September. Get a big whitetail if possible or a legal bull elk for myself.

Moose with my bow. Whitetail or mulie would be a bonus. Might draw on a mule tag this year. Counting the days.

Get out with my dog and watch her do her first hunt after spending this spring and next few months training her. Other than that no big goals probably just 999 everything again, and go for a couple WT.

Hopefully lucky enough to get out hunting with some friends, share some laughs, lies and adult bevies.

If real lucky, will not pull the trigger at all again other than on a few grouse.

Hard to say.

Just going to wait and see how things are in fall. Have a solo canoe hunt planned out but a job may interfere. I have a bunch of goals (Dall sheep, moose, bison, griz/black bear, caribou...) but time will be my constraint. For now I am happy fishing whatever Yukon has to offer until big fall rolls around.

Spring bear as soon as it greens up a bit.

Cheers
