Looks like a beauty wildwoods. Seen a bit of sign so far and the bait has been hit a couple times.

They are definitely out. Not too plentiful yet, but some are definitely out.
This cold has been bit of an annoyance indeed; but it is the wind that is driving me nuts. And it is not really that cold take the wind away.

Contemplating whether to get a tag, haven't seen much out here in the Peace River area either, but the weather has been pretty crappy... keep up with the sightings, it's great to have a resource like this around.

Thanks. He's got Hugenuge's name on him. He's been watching him since last year. He hit on April 11th and has stayed consistently.

Love that bear pic Wildwoods. Nice white patch. Hope Hugenuge gets him.

I just asked my almost 19 yr old if he wants to hunt spring bear last night? He surprises me and say's YA. I have dads 30 yr old awesome bear rug on my wall so I have never had the urge to go after one or get another hide done. Dads bear is no monster but has a real nice fall coat.

May have to get a couple tags and go to our northern WMU and do some spot and stalk. Lots of pipelines. Or commandeer one of the many outfitter bait sites i know of where we hunt Jokes of course.

Best predator control is them moose calf/deer fawn eating black bears from what I hear.

Yep that's a nice looking bear with a fair sized noggin to boot. Doing the happy dance there or what? Looks like quite the smorgasbord you got laid out there. Good luck to all.

I've had my baits out for 4wks in carrot creek. Nothing has shown up yet, did a 20km check of frequently used areas last night and no sign anywhere. Have heard of a few to the west of Edson though

17/20 baits are active, 10 more to set before end of the week. Should be a good first week of the season. Dozen of them had tracks already prior to setting in the baits.

Any bears down yet? Have 10 baits out with only 1 being hit! Shot a good sized boar last Thursday by the neighbors house that must have just come out and seen 1 last night. No pictures of it but skinned it out anyways, was to warm and wet for pictures. Hopefully baits will start to get hit soon! A lot of work if they don't!!

17/20? That's it?
Well, better luck next year.
There's plenty of old threads on here to search for tips, but you probably already knew that.
