Got out for a hali fish yesterday. Largest was 56 lbs.

I run a custom built 28 ft centre console Hourston.

Took out some fellas from the Okanagan today and we had some luck with all fish in the 30's

Very nice indeed. I will be out there soon to give it a go. Those look sweet and tender! Can't wait! Congrats, looks like the fishing is getting pretty consistent? How have the winds been?

The weather changes all the time. It was breezy and choppy today but my boat is a beast in the rough water and i have been fishing in the big water for 30 years and know how to deal with it

Is this your boat in the background? Or who's boat is it? I thought it was Lochie Mackenzies boat.

(Nice fish BTW! Good job!)

Seen a lot of fine daily catch pictures in front of that crab boat while attempting to dig up info on the different charter outfits. I thought they came from that aluminum tub. I guess they didnt!

Took the same guys out but not long after we got set up fishing the winds made it ugly and we had to retreat. Got 2 halibut under under 20 lbs and one mid 20's plus a Ling Cod. Not a terrible trip!

Because your fish are too big, so unlike the rest of us we only catch small fish...

Love the island, the ocean and all it can bring with regards to game fish.
Hate the ocean when she is grumpy, 20 foot swells and 5 foot chop on top makes for a heck of a trip back with a boat load of fish...ah my younger days working the fishing boats off tofino...

Keep trying, we're bored. Fishing in Alberta sucks, all these sludge fish that taste like muck... (I am in the south though, north stuff would be good to kill and eat) Okay, all these little beater fish that don't fight!

it's probably just your internet service.

I doubt it. I post pictures on 3 other sites and have no problems with any of them. Limiting on Lings and Halibut everyday right now but not able to post the pictures

I hear they reduced the halibut size on the smaller halibut, is that so? Weren't the small size Hali's stinking small enough already?

How many ling cod a day? How big?

Yes, the smaller one's max size has been reduced back to 83 cm from 90 due to a reduction in our coast wide quota based on weight to keep our season open. Remember that the state of Washington's quota is a free for all with their size and they catch all their halibut in less than 10 days of fishing. The smaller oones are just a throw in on a multiple day trip. Lings are 3 a day.

I'm sure you could have got this info from the outfit you booked with for this summer
