Default Identify this Animal Please

This mount was salvaged from waste depot today. I'm not sure if it's even legal for me to keep it, but how could a person let that be destroyed?
Anyways, it looks like an African animal, and I was thinking Kudu or spring Bok, but not really sure. I'll call F&W tomorrow about keeping it. Anyone know what this is? Thanks.

Underfed Kudu for sure - the cows look kinda like elk!

They're super common, so no worries about CITES or anything like that.

Thanks for the ID guys. Not sure why a couple of you think it's so funny. I thought it was a neat find. No dumptser's in sight.

An old African story about the white blazes on the kudus face. "When God fashioned the kudu out of mud as all animals were, he held the kudu by the face and blew the breath of life into it" and to this day the kudu bears the marks of gods hands on his face. A cool story to add to your cool mount.

Never mind them, they are just jealous. I think it is a neat find too.

Even if it were in a dumpster, so what. It would still be a neat find.
How is dumpster diving any different then collecting antiques?

Most antiques are items someone once thought of as trash. And most were at one time abandoned to rust or rot, like the garbage we toss in dumpsters.
