And now our government is gonna waste peace officers time by enforcing an OHV helmet law. I tell ya, if I see a peace officer around my place enforcing the helmet law and NEVER have seen them when I phoned in suspicious activity or vehicles, they're gonna get an ear full!!!!!

Plain and simple they are just the governments new collections agency.
They have no intentions of fulfilling their duties anymore.
Times have changed.

You have no clue how many retired Police are on this forum.
I think we will hear some enlightened information.
Or, they may PM me and ask me to not repeat their names.
Not silly.

Do you have mail in the post office, that is your property. I would read up a bit more on citizen arrest there is more there about catching somebody in the middle of committing a crime. The best thing to do is file a formal complaint with the RCMP for failing to do there duty. That works. If you still have my Phone # call me if not PM me and I can explain

Ken,

By all means do your best to talk to the staff seargent.

BUT Keep in mind that the RCMP are contracted to police rural areas by the province of Alberta!!
You might also want to talk to your local elected officials.... both provincial and federal.
Provincial justice minister and solicitor general would also be a safe bet.

It would cost time and money to prosecute criminals like this, and apparently the police force is not interested in investing time or money, when the officers can spend their time collecting money by handing out speeding tickets.

Instead of complaining about them, why don't you join?

That is what you have repeatedly told me

That is commendable.

I have pounded on my keyboard a little extra this week.

Yep, here we go.

Why not start a thread requesting PM from law enforcement - current or retired. If you are auxiliary - then you already know the answer, you have access to the very people you want this information from.

Good luck in your search.

So you got the answer to your question then I take it?
Would you please share?
Because I would also like to know the reason why criminals have more rights than your average citizen.

Thumbs up Ken. Ken. Ken

Ok you know and I know that no legit Leo is going to spew off here and if so then they are not worth the uniform they wear that being said I feel your frustration I am dealing with issues too that involve Leo's and after walking with the two fine officers I find out after a 30 minute conversation into a 1 hr walk they too are very frustrated within thier own system and that like many jobs all it takes is a stupid policy or procedure or a lazy supervisor and things really get slowed down. So after these engagements with the officers I proceeded to hit the nail on the head and took pictures, etc and went straight to the supervisors via email and in that email etc I insured others were involved to make sure that things are not swept under the carpet etc.
You have a voice, a tax paying citizen and you have the right to get answers to questions to legit complaints but like everything else know the people and understand the audience, ensure your delivery has tact or it will be put aside as another rant...good luck, fight the good fight.

I get what you're saying but what if cops pulled out of another call more crucial call (domestic, actual armed robbery) to respond to a fake armed robbery. Its just property in the end. No need to go crying wolf over it.

Yup and has lectured others to in the past as well. Only until it's his community affected... boo hoo

My best friend of over 30 years is RCMP here in the park. If you are really auxiliary, he says you have all the contacts and answers at your disposal within a 5 min phone call. What detachment do you belong to?

Here is what just happened to me. A big toolbox full of tools was stolen. Value would be a couple thousand dollars. I know who took them. I confronted them and told them if they were not returned I would report to the RCMP. Called the Mounties and reported the theft. They asked if I could identify the tools. Yes. Are they marked they asked. No. The officer the said there was nothing they could do and it is a civil matter. I then spoke to the sergeant. Got the same answer. They never even spoke to the thief. They could have confronted the individual about the issue. A lot of these were specialized tools the druggie would not even know what they were for.

So if you do not have all your belongings marked I guess anyone can take them and as long as they are in their possession they are theirs.

A member at my former range was going through a nasty separation, and arrived home to discover that his gun safe was empty, and all of his firearms were gone including his restricted firearms. The safe was undamaged making it obvious that his wife had taken the firearms, and she admitted taking them and selling them. The person then reported this to the RCMP who refused to become involved, insisting that this was a civil matter. Since when is illegally taking possession of restricted firearms and illegally selling them a civil matter? The person asked the RCMP officer what would happen if any of the firearms was used in the commission of a crime, and the officer refused to provide an answer.

Pick up the phone, call your auxiliary friends and ask them. You state that your on the list for 2 detachments, you would think your co workers would answer this for you.........

Why bring your rant to an open forum when your own friends and coworkers can better assist you. Unless.......

interesting that some of you guys giving ken flack are some of the biggest whiners in many threads.

elk- I can see possessions in a divorce being a civil matter in a few different scenarios. Still a crap situation.

I find some of the stories hard to believe myself and would escalate them with formal complaints through their internal investigations if they happened as discussed.
