So do the rest of us really.

What province?

What country?

Stocking?

Transplanting?

Default Bass

Will bass survive the cold winters here? I'm thinking no.

Was it Island or Hanmore lake?
In an event, yeah, didn't work so well!

It was island, and I saw a guy pull one out about 6 or 7 pounds. I haven't fished the lake for almost 20yrs, from the look of it on google maps I think the fish in there need to evolve and grow legs because the lake only looks half the size now. I used to catch really big pike there and even had a friend pull out a 15-3/4" perch from there.

Smallmouth Bass were stocked in several Manitoba lakes quite a few years ago and are reproducing and doing well.

Wonder why they can survive in Manitoba but not Alberta. Doesn't Manitoba have much colder winters?
