Nissan 9.8 outboards?

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a mid-90's Nissan 9.8 with a 12 volt charging system. Overall, it looks to be in good shape. Anyone have any experience with these motors? Motor is a long shaft, and will be used as a kicker.

I have a 9.8 nissan been running it for 3 years no problems with mine it is a good little motor.

I had a 40hp motor on my old boat and in 15 years I had zero problems with it.
