Default Savage Edge in 308 vs a Used Remington or Browning in 308

Hi,
I can't make a decision should I buy a Savage Edge which is like $450 brand new or buy a used remington or Browning. I will use this gun for hunting only so most round I will fire in a year will 20.

Please let me know.

Thanks

Rosh

I'd take the Savage 111 package for $450, before the Edge. I'd also take a quality used rifle like the ones you mentioned, over the Edge. If you like synthetic though, you'd be hard pressed to find better value then the Savage 11/111 series.

P.S. I'd shoot more then 20rds a year out of it, even as a hunting rifle, practice, practice, practice.

Buy the savage good accurate gun! I have 2 edges and love them! I beat the crap out of my .308 on my quad hunting yotes and still shoots loonie sized groups at 100 yards! I already got 5-6 hundred rounds out of it!

all good enough rifles pick the one that fits you best new or used does not usually mean much as most rifles will last a life time the better the fit usually the better your able to shoot it in a hunting situation. shooting papper off a bench is not the same as a moving white tail.
