Number refers to the size, generally of a Len Thompson spoon. The scale isn't particularly logical though, you essentially have to commit it to memory.

No.13X YR. 13/16oz, 2-3/4inch, dimpled 3 of diamonds. Len Thompson. Not sure why the hogs like em? But they work great in the spring! You'll find them at Wally World.

Early in the season Len's (white with anything, and 5 o dimonds) size 0 later in the season syclops blue and silver can't hardly keep the paint on them. but othe colors work too. But blue has just been stupendous the last few years.
The lake I fish has lots of whitefish (Dore, SK) so white and silver/blue or silver/black do well in just about anything.

X2 on the Mepps cyclops. Rainbow or blue. Killed em last week in meadow lake. Second would be a silver and blue wobbler.

My top favourite pike spoon would be a 5'' mepps cyclops spoon in fire tiger. The pike at wab mauled that spoon while no other spoon was catching anything. It wasn't long until my fishing partner stocked up on the Cyclops spoons. lol
For trout and char, I would have to go for the Kastmaster. My fishing partner caught their first laker with one of those Kastmasters and the rainbows attack them like crazy.

I have been a long time fan of the Len Thompson 5-o diamonds (yellow & red), with a VERY close second the the white with red stripe. Lately my Len Thomson fire tiger & silver & blue have been my go to spoons though.
