Default Robbed while fishing

Was fishing by 22x, some one broke into my truck and stole some stuff, 900 loss. Careful over there, I guess it's been a problem lately.

That really does suck.

Hard to believe it happened in Calgary. Even grannies feel safe in Calgary.

When I lived in a city riddled with crime, I had the good fortune to catch thieves in my truck ....Twice. Not the same guys of course. First there were two and the second time one. Very satisfying.

Bummer.. I know how that feels. We got robbed in calgary last summer while fishing in the elbow near downtown. We were on a weekend trip so they made off with almost 4 grand in phones/ cameras / wallets/ clothing out of my car. Hard lesson to learn.. Don't trust calgarians lol

I know that this is the piece of information that you will be least willing to give up as a fisherman, but it is the most important.

How did they break in?

Most crime follows a pattern.

The boat launch parking lot next to 22x in fish creek, looks to a be a screw driver to the handle, they smashed some ones window in another parking lot. I'll be baiting them soon, certainly robbed the wrong truck

I walk the dog at that spot all the time. They must have some nards as that parking lot is a busy spot.

I will keep an eye out as I approach the lot from the Sikome side.

Could also easily be accomplished by a black dually driving Edmontonian in under 3 hours. $700 plus payday... No?

Sorry Edmonton, couldn't help myself

oh no std77 you got me all wrong...I meant Calgarians living anywhere!

And it was a neighborly jab I take for granted that everyone is old enough to understand the rivalry

And for your peace of mind no..no Edmonton does not have the highest whatever you mentioned. Perhaps you would be s-m-r-t-r if you wasnt Calgarian.

Leave a flat of beer in the box, then go sit in the bush with a six pack and wait. I know someone who use to get alot of aggresion out this way, and not just at fishing spots.

someone should suggest to the police that they put their sting vehicle in the line of fire.

Set up to try and catch them. It is likely the same few guys doing it.

Default Make a report

Not sure if you did or not, but make sure to make a police report. Helps with crime mapping, and they can focus on the area, or get the CO's to pay attention to the area. Fish Creek park has had its fair share of things happen over the past few years, would be nice to catch the people involved.
