Me and my partner took a trip down to Broadus, Montana for our first ever turkey hunt in April.
It was a real riot, and we managed to each get a bird, despite some nasty weather.
First bird I ever laid eyes on 45 minutes into the first morning:

Second bird, after 2 days of rain, we had the car packed up and were on our way out, but couldn't resist stopping and giving it a shot when we saw this fella:

Nice bird!
I would like to head down to BC sometime.
What is it like for getting access down there? Any public land that would hold some birds?

fyi, turkey vultures, like the one in the first photo, come to a turkey call quicker than a turkey.....and if they are around, move 'cuz real turkeys won't come. Second photo shows that turkeys aren't necessarily flat-landers.

The pend-d'oreille area has lots of crown land. Stay east of the dam you'll find a lot of roads to explore. You should expect more of spot and stalk type of hunt (with steep terrain). Like fingershooter said if you try and do locate calls with a turkey call you'll get turkey vultures over head in no time. Once I called and we had 4 of them overhead in a few seconds.

Cool. Seems like a nice area.
The pic doesn't really show it, but we got one of ours on a little mountain. It was really nice, since we had to make our move in the daylight, and we could go along and the back-side, then call from over the crest of the hill, making them come into gun range before they could see where the sound was coming from.

Default Kansas Hybrid

Was down in Kansas around the end of the month and managed to arrow a hybrid Eastern/Rio Grande gobbler. Birds were weird this year- being really quiet.

Birds have been very quiet here in Southern Ontario since the start of the season.... Heard from others that they are starting to get very vocal now, and there's only a week left of the season....
