how they heck are you guys getting gophers already??? there is still 1-3 feet of snow out here in westlock.

Was out checking my rat trapping properties.
Dog managed to catch/kill a gopher that was too far from its den.
First time seeing one around here in a year.

Last year Gary Valla helped me build a Remington 700 BDL 22-250 with a 2lb trigger, Vortex Viper 6-24x50 and muzzle break. The guy does some great work.
The upgrades make for some fun times shooting & I can watch my hits through the scope.
Saturday was my first time shooting dogs with it, man was it accurate. I am using factory loads right now and saving brass. But was still able to take a bunch between 150-250. Hopefully I get enough brass saved this season to justify a reloading station so I can start to really dial it in tight.

0 For me. Lost my gopher patch as the land was sold and new owner does not want any shooting on the land.  Wait till he finds out it's infested with them.
