Default Haven't caught a Pike.

Can anyone tell me where to go to catch a Pike near Edmonton? Heard that wizard lake is good and what kind of lures/bait should I use? Someone told me to use cheese, can I really use cheese?

Wabamun or Jackfish lake. If your spinning, use any type of spoon or crank bait.

A a spoon that always works great for me at wab is a 5" mepps Cyclops spoon. I have also done good on a large blue fox spinner with the blue finish. As for bait, I think minnows, smelts and herring by far are the best pike bait.

Leave the cheese @ home....or put it in your sandwich for lunch.

Wizard might be tough access right now due to weeds. As was mentioned sppons, spinners, and cranks work good for pike.

Wabamun would be a good place to start many options for shore fishing there , Any of these are good for pike .
