Just finished three days fishing with Serengeti. No other word to describe it but "incredible".
We limited out with our springs (nothing smaller than 25 lbs - two Tyee), limited out on our coho ( many over 10 lbs), got two perfect sized halibut and various bottom fish. Hundreds of lbs of fish coming home. Big shout out to our guide, Taylor.
Dave Jr., Dave Sr., Heather and Breanna....thanks so much.

Taylor was my guide earlier this year, that guy knows how to catch fish. Serengeti is definitely a first class fishing charter.

Taylor loved having you guys Cam. Fun trip with a ton of action on BIG fish...sure it'll be like that next year too! I'll add some pictures below! Great fishing, went on our day off today and limited out all by ourselves, doesn't get any better.

Fishing today was hot again...one boat was 6/12 on Chinook, and the other 7/16. Was a rough day so the low percentages are fairly decent as tough fighting big Chinook in big winds. More Tyees today again...our total is up to 36 Chinook over 30lbs this year...that beats even places like Rivers Inlet. Give us a shout for 2017 as the calendar is filling up amazingly fast. Can't wait for next year, and a big announcement for us come a couple weeks I"ll fill you guys in as well.

Whats that mean??? You're buying another boat and adding another guide? Buying two more boats and two more guides? Or building a new lodge for next year?

The big announcement that we want to hear is that the DFO is relaxing the halibut limit!!! Would sure be nice to take two adult halibut on the drive home instead of one, and they could keep the little baby halibuts til they grow up. Oops, I derailed, sorry!

Time will tell with the halibut Marty...key is to pressure our fisheries minister to give the rec sector more than 15%. With 20% we could have it with two fish any size.

Fishing last few days has been deadly for TYEES! 5 Tyees in two days on my boat alone, up to 37lbs. We are now at 46 Tyees with us this year...pretty unreal. Catching and releasing 24lb Chinook today and three double headers on my boat alone including a 29lb and 35lb double. I always say about Aug 8 till end of season is such a great time to come target BIG Chinook. This year is no different. It's not non stop action but consistent with on average a bite every 15-25min (although double headers like today happen too!). Great time for groups of two or three to come and you'll definitely fight a Tyee...just about whether or not you land it...but you'll have a chance, and hard to find anywhere else you'll have a better chance and as much action. Plus nice Coho (up to 14lbs today).

Throw me a PM or email us if you have any questions about a trip next year, booking up at a record rate!

37 LB Tyee

Double Header 35 LBS & 29 LBS

Today's Catch; Limits for Everyone...Guests Even Insisted Guides Catch Theirs!

Just Landed a Double

Yesterday the guys were all limited out on Chinook...so off to get halibut and bottomfish...limits of Lingcod to 40lbs, Yelloweye to 15lbs and halibut to 65lbs (3 of 4 hali were 50-65lbs too) by 10am then back to the dock by 11am...now that's a great day!

Today one boat was out and it was a gong show after an hour of a bite every second pass then it became nuts with limits being caught in an hour for salmon...can't beat that! One Tyee and two 29lbers. If you're thinking of 2017, let me know guys, love to have more from AO out and even get an all AO trip going. Out again in the morning....should be a good day, Wednesday weather looks bad...but we will still get er done!

Tight Lines,
David
